About Our Church
As Seventh-day Adventists, we are passionate in our pursuit of God and the truth. We do this using the Bible as our source book. It is our intention to present the truths and teachings of the Bible in the clearest, best way possible so that people can come to Jesus.
So what do we believe?
At the heart of what we believe is Jesus Christ, the Saviour of the world and centrepiece of everything we teach and believe. He is Lord of all, creator of all and Saviour for all. We believe He died to save us from our sins (selfishness, corruption and evil), and rose again the third day, conquering death. We believe He will come back again soon to bring an end to evil, and to rescue those who are His own. In short, we believe that Jesus is enough, and is the answer for anyone who honestly seeks truth, love and life.
We also believe that after God created the world, He gave humanity the gift of one day off work in seven. We call this the Sabbath, which is Saturday, the seventh day of the week (that’s where the idea for our name came). The concept of Sabbath is so beautiful and needed in our world. One day off from work guilt-free so you can spend time with family, friends and Jesus— all the best things in life.
There is so much more we believe. We have 28 fundamental beliefs, which explore the main teachings of Jesus. If you want to see what they are, just check out this link!
